Classes that Connect You to the Language
At Zuca Tuga, Portuguese lessons are designed for you — someone who wants to learn in a light, engaging way, connected to real life. Here, learning goes far beyond grammar: it becomes a creative, emotional, and meaningful experience.
The classes are online and fully personalized, from level A1 to C2 (CEFR). Each session is planned according to your pace, goals, and the real-life contexts in which you need to use the Portuguese language.
Methodology
We work with a communicative, task-based approach, which means you learn to express yourself in Portuguese while developing skills for real situations: chatting in daily life, traveling, studying, working, or simply immersing yourself in the culture.
Our methodology combines a focus on conversation, multisensory phonetics, grammar in context, spontaneous oral and written production, and teaching vocabulary and idiomatic expressions in real situations. All of this is integrated with the use of games, music, literature, art, and cultural elements from Brazil and Portugal — making each class dynamic, engaging, and inspiring.
Brazilian Portuguese and European Portuguese — You Choose How You Want to Learn
At Zuca Tuga, you have the freedom to choose between Brazilian Portuguese and European Portuguese — or even learn to navigate between both varieties.
In our classes, beyond grammar and vocabulary, we work on differences in pronunciation, everyday expressions, communication styles, and cultural aspects of each country, in a clear and contextualized way.
Hello! I’m Simone, the creator of Zuca Tuga — a welcoming and creative space dedicated to teaching Portuguese to foreigners. I’m Brazilian, I live in Portugal, and I deeply believe in the power of languages to bring people, cultures, and stories closer together. Over time, I’ve built a solid career as a teacher, working with students from different nationalities, profiles, and backgrounds. I believe that learning a new language goes far beyond grammar: it’s an encounter with other ways of living, thinking, and feeling. And that’s what drives me as an educator. I value each class as a genuine exchange opportunity. These are unique moments, full of listening, discovery, and warmth — moments when I not only teach, but also learn from each student. This interaction, to me, is what gives meaning to my work and fuels my desire to continue on this path.
